What are CFDs?

CFDs (Contracts for Difference) are derivative instruments. They are used in trading. The movements in CFD prices replicate those of the underlying financial product/asset.

The underlying instrument/asset is not actually owned. This makes CFDs a derivative product with Cornèrtrader as the counterparty to the trade. CFDs are traded in over-the-counter (OTC) transactions rather than on exchanges.

The trading of CFDs is transacted on the margin and they can be shorted, so offering you a way to profit in falling markets or to hedge stock positions.
