How soon are share dividends (either as cash or as extra shares) credited to my account?

Dividends, when distributed as cash, will be credited to your account on the date they are paid out. Conversely, if you take extra shares in lieu of cash, they will be booked into your open position, but not necessarily immediately.

It may be some time before Cornèrtrader receives the extra shares from our Custodian. The delay varies according to the country of incorporation of the company. Only on receipt of the shares can they be booked to your account.

Let’s take the case of extra shares issued by a UK-listed company. Normally, there is an interim of 20 days before Cornèrtrader takes receipt of the new shares.
